Architecture
& the Everyday
Undergraduate architecture portfolio of Sadia Sultana — exploring space, cultural identity and the essentials of everyday living.
For me, architecture is more than construction — it is our way of life, our cultural identity, and the essentials of our everyday living.
I am Sadia Sultana. I completed my Bachelor of Architecture at Leading University, Sylhet, Bangladesh.
I look forward to new learning, to growing personally, and to discovering knowledge from the world — carrying that curiosity into every project I design.

Chandpur Science & Technology University
Undergraduate Thesis
A campus that grows from its land — water, courtyard and community.
View gallery My thesis proposes the permanent campus for Chandpur Science & Technology University on a 63-acre site at Bohoria village, Chandpur. The land arrives in three natural parts, so the master plan reads it as three precincts — academic, administrative and residential — stitched together by the Sundori canal that runs through the academic zone. Brick-clad faculty blocks frame a sequence of shaded courtyards, turning the harsh local climate and the existing canal into the campus’ organising idea: a walkable, green academic city for a growing student body.

House of Rose
Private Residence
Solid white volumes, softened by a perforated brick veil.
View gallery A compact two-storey family home on a tight urban plot. Crisp white volumes are balanced against deep shaded balconies and a perforated brick screen that filters harsh light while keeping the interior cool and private. The project is documented end to end — ground, first and roof plans, the structural column layout, and a full set of exterior visualisations.

Vacation House
Third-Year Project
Cantilevered slabs reaching out toward the landscape.
View gallery A modern weekend retreat set in open landscape. Bold cantilevered slabs and a generous covered porch push the living space outward toward the view, while the plan is reasoned from a clear functional bubble diagram and site study. Elevations and sections resolve the house into a calm, horizontal composition.

Design of a Public Library
Studio · Level 2, Term 2
“A free space creates a fresh mind.”
View gallery Guided by the idea that a free space creates a fresh mind, this public library is explored through crafted study models. A faceted roof and an arrow-like plan gather reading halls around a generous open core, and the model photographs test how light, mass and approach shape the reader’s arrival.

Design of a Student Hub
Studio · Level 2, Term 1
“Share with free space” — connecting indoor and out.
View gallery A social hub for students built on a single idea — share with free space. A sweeping pitched roof folds over open gathering areas, weaving indoor and outdoor functions together so students can move, meet and spend time freely and comfortably. Studied here as a crafted physical model.

Interior Design
Living Space
Daylight, timber and a living garden brought indoors.
View gallery A bright residential interior arranged around a sunken living room and an indoor planted garden. A timber-battened ceiling, soft neutral furnishings and a living green wall draw daylight, texture and calm into the heart of the home.
